The Neuroscience of Meditation Weekend Workshop*

This weekend we will draw some important parallels between modern scientific insights and ancient wisdom. Dive into the 8 limbs of yoga where we will discover the effects of spiritual practice on the brain and body.

We welcome a very special guest teacher to this workshop: Neuroscience professor and long time meditator Marjorie Hines Woollacott, PhD!

She will be teaching us basic neuroscience principles, how to apply concepts like neuroplasticity to our yoga classes, and – most importantly – how we can inspire long term positive changes in our clients’ brains, bodies, and relationships.

This workshop will be a fun and lighthearted approach to the yoga philosophy as a pathway to self-discovery and transformation. We will explore in depth the 8 limbs of yoga, and how these simple steps can lead you toward more freedom and ease in your day-to-day life.

Yoga is an ancient healing modality that has stood the test of time as it has empowered people to discover their purpose and find happiness within. Find out for yourself how this holistic practice of healing and transformation can help you achieve inner peace and outer harmony.
*This weekend is Module 9 of the 200-hour Myofascial Yoga teacher Training and can also be used as Yoga Alliance registered continuing education. Certificate of completion is available to all participants.
