Have you ever watched a baby move and play, content while exploring their world? If you observe their fingers and toes curl and reach, and the look of fascination on their faces, it becomes so clear that being inside a body is meant to be pleasurable.
As someone who has lived with ongoing pain, I’ve developed many theories about the loss of embodied pleasure. Where do we lose touch with it? Why does that happen? And most importantly, how do we find our way back?
Over the years, I’ve created multiple maps to help guide that return in simple and achievable ways. One of the approaches I love most is using myofascial ball work as a pathway into embodiment, nervous system settling, pleasant sensation, and a deeper felt sense of connection from the inside out.
Want to Try a Class?
You can explore this approach in practice on Patreon with Layers of Self: Embodied Awareness in Motion, a class where we explore the Koshas through a 5 point self check-in, somatic awareness, breath, functional movement, proprioceptive play, balance work, and a little myofascial release at the end.
It offers a grounded and practical way to connect with the different layers of body, mind, breath, insight, and bliss through your own direct experience.
Ball Placement Workshop
If you’d like to go a little deeper, this weekend’s Ball Placement and Embodiment Workshop is a chance to explore ball placement and embodied pleasure in a more focused way.
We’ll work with simple and supportive ways of using the balls to build awareness, refine placement, support regulation, and deepen your relationship with your body through direct felt experience. My hope is that this approach helps you discover more ease, more connection, and more of that sense of being lovingly at home in your body.

A Note from a Student
“Christine’s guidance led me to a ‘light bulb moment’ that completely altered my approach to my yoga practice. With this new understanding, my practice has become much more natural, holistic and, hurrah, enjoyable. After years of yoga practice, I am very grateful to have found Christine and look forward to many realizations and connections and much growth under her instruction.”

A Note About Pricing
I also wanted to share a little note about fee structure. With the rising cost of living lately, I know many of us are feeling financial strain. Because of that, I’ve decided to bring back sliding scale pricing and open up a few additional scholarship spaces.
Times are tough, but I truly believe that means the world needs this work more than ever.
Please feel free to reach out if cost is a barrier. I’d be very happy to explore how I can support you in reaching your goals of becoming a successful, nervous system friendly yoga teacher.
